Veteran’s Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system. Individuals who served in the active military, naval or air service, including activated Reservists and National Guard members and their eligible dependents, may qualify for Veterans Administration health care benefits. However, many Veterans do not qualify. If you are a Veteran and are not covered by the Veteran’s Administration benefit, consider whether you may be eligible for Medicaid, especially if your state has elected to expand Medicaid.
If you currently have this type of insurance and expect that to continue in 2014, you fulfill the individual mandate.
