Proper nutrition, combined with safe and effective exercise, is important for everybody. HFA’s health and wellness program, FitFactor offers services designed to help those living with a bleeding disorder improve health, fitness, and quality of life through regular physical activity and proper nutrition.

This toolkit is a highlight of some of the resources within the FitFactor program. Included are:

NHF_lmage NHF: The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders and to preventing the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research. gearsforgood_logo-2 Gears for Good Bike Rides: Dedicated to encouraging and promoting a healthier lifestyle, these rides are designed to be challenging. They celebrate the dedication to health and wellness for those who work hard to achieve beyond their disorder! The riders raise money knowing that the funds they raise support a critical safety net program for other community peers: Helping Hands! In its 6th year, the DC ride is the most challenging, 3 days, 156 miles on a crushed rock trail. Two additional rides of 1-2 days each in New England and a Midwest or Western location are also planned for 2016.
