Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship Program

The Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship is intended for college, vocational or private school students that are clinically diagnosed with hemophilia or von Willebrand disease. Three renewable $2,500 scholarships are awarded each year for new or current college or vocational-technical school students, and one renewable $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a student attending private school, grades 7-12.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, or disability.

Students interested in applying must complete a college or private school application and send it with a current transcript of grades to Scholarship America, postmarked no later than July 1.

Education is Power Scholarship

Since starting the scholarship program in 2006, the MedPro Rx Education is Power Scholarship program has provided 454 scholarships totaling over $445,000 to students nationwide who have hemophilia A, hemophilia B or von Willebrand Disease (vWD).

ELIGIBILITY

Eligible scholarship applicants include individuals living with Hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease. A minimum of 20 scholarships will be awarded ranging in value from $500-$2,500. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following requirements:

  1. Must have a bleeding disorder as defined above
  2. Must be a United States resident
  3. Must be entering or attending a community college, junior college, four-year college, university, or vocational school in the fall of 2016
  4. Community involvement and/or volunteer work

Nate Slack Scholarship

The Nate Slack Scholarship award, presented by HF healthcare, wants to honor
memory and a giving spirit of Nate Slack by providing two (2) $1,000 educational
scholarships.
The scholarships are made available to people with hemophilia or a related bleeding
disorder, or to a person within the immediate family who is attending or has been
accepted to attend a two or four year college or trade school.
