The Virginia Hemophilia Foundation’s (VHF) Lyman Fisher Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Lyman Fisher a teacher, researcher, and clinician in hemostasis who for many years directed the adult hemophilia program in Virginia. Applicants must have participated in VHF activities and live in the territorial jurisdiction of VHF. Scholarships are one-year awards in the amount of $2,000 for a full academic year.LEARN MORE...
Qualified applicants must be a person with an inherited bleeding disorder who is a legal resident of Minnesota and South Dakota, and/or a patient of one of HFMD’s affiliated Hemophilia Treatment Centers in these states. The HFMD Scholarship must be used to pursue a course of post-secondary education.
The completed scholarship application, letters of recommendation, and transcripts must be received by HFMD no later than June l, 2018 to be considered for the following academic year.LEARN MORE...
The Joshua Gomes Memorial Scholarship Fund aims to lay a path for hope for young adults like Josh – those with HIV/AIDS – by providing academic scholarships to universities of their choice.
Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need. We hope to allow Josh’s love for learning and community service to continue through another young adult who also exhibits these qualities.
Applications are available for the Dugdale – van Eys Scholarship. Scholarships are for college-bound high school seniors (graduate or GED), college students, technical school students. Must have a bleeding disorder or the child, spouse or guardian of a person with a bleeding disorder.
Applicants must receive treatment in Tennessee.

The Nate Slack Scholarship award, presented by HF healthcare, wants to honor
memory and a giving spirit of Nate Slack by providing two (2) $1,000 educational
The scholarships are made available to people with hemophilia or a related bleeding
disorder, or to a person within the immediate family who is attending or has been
accepted to attend a two or four year college or trade school.
One (1) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $4,000.00 to a student pursuing a degree in the medical/healthcare services field. We have noticed over the years that many of our students in the bleeding disorders community are studying for a career in the medial field. Because we know how costly this can be, we created this scholarship specifically for those students to help further their goals.
