Bayer Letter on Product Availability During COVID-19

The following is a copy of a letter from Bayer.

“For more than 30 years, Bayer has been providing FVIII therapies and support programs to people living with hemophilia A. As we all face the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the health and safety of our patients continues to be a priority. We realize you may have questions regarding product availability, as well as support programs to help with potential financial challenges, and we want to take this opportunity to provide you with information on these topics.
Product Availability
We understand that consistent product availability is essential to people living with hemophilia A. Bayer wants to reassure healthcare providers and patients that rely on our hemophilia A products and associated infusion devices that we currently see no impact to product availability. People with hemophilia A can use our products with confidence.
As the coronavirus outbreak is an evolving situation, we continue to monitor it and are in constant contact with our suppliers to address issues that may arise in our supply chain. Rest assured, we will keep patient advocacy organizations and health care providers informed of any material changes in status.
Patient Support Programs
We realize that the COVID-19 outbreak may lead to financial constraints for patients. Access Services by Bayer™ offers programs that may help during these trying times, including our:

  • Loyalty Program†‡§

    • Earn points that can be redeemed for your Bayer hemophilia A product at no cost. Whether you are new to a Bayer product, or have been on a Bayer product for years, if you enroll in the Loyalty Program you will receive a years’ worth of points. These points can be redeemed for up to four months of product if you experience gaps or challenges with insurance coverage

  • $0 Co-Pay Program*†

    • If you have private insurance, you may be eligible to receive up to $12,000 in assistance per year, regardless of income, to help cover your out-of-pocket expenses

If you would like to enroll in these programs, find out your Loyalty point balance, or have any questions, please call the Access Services by Bayer live helpline support at (800) 288-8374. Case Specialists are available to speak with you from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday. Spanish-speaking case specialists are also available.

*Co-pay support is available for up to 12 months. Eligible patients can re-enroll for additional 12-month period.
†Patients who are enrolled in any type of government insurance are not eligible. Bayer reserves the right to rescind, revoke, or amend this offer without notice at any time.
‡The medication provided through this program is at no cost to the patient and is not contingent on future use of this medication. Reselling or billing any third party for free product provided by this program is prohibited by law
