About the Position

Reporting to the Hemophilia Federation of America’s Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for strategy development and providing overall leadership and management for the organization. The CEO plans, directs or manages the senior leadership team across the organization to ensure advocacy, education programs and services, research, as well as development, finance, marketing, communications, IT, HR, and administration activities are organized for optimal success. The CEO will maintain a persistent laser eye toward results that support HFA’s vision, mission, and key objectives.

The CEO will act as a key advocate and spokesperson for the organization to advance public dialog on key issues to the bleeding disorders community with key senior stakeholders in similar agencies and regulatory, government, and industry leadership. This position requires a leader with a solid work ethic, commitment to lead via servant leadership, and willingness to learn and grow with the changing organization.

We advocate for safe and effective therapies and quality, affordable health coverage. Ultimately, we seek a better quality of life for all persons with bleeding disorders.

What We Do

Assist

We understand the enormous, financial impact of managing a bleeding disorder. We provide financial assistance to any eligible community member, who may be experiencing an emergency, facing a natural disaster, or needing medically necessary items.

Educate

We take a holistic approach to create tailored, accessible content for our bleeding disorders community and provide education that is timely, relevant, engaging, and intentional: we meet our people where they are.

Advocate

We defend and promote access to safe and effective treatments, as well as access to the quality, affordable coverage that pays for this care. We support the bleeding disorders community by providing information and tools to participate in monitoring, advocating, and supporting federal and state public policies.
