Inhibitors

Those who infuse clotting factor may be at risk for developing an inhibitor. Learn more about the risks and options if one occurs.

Course Description

Your body makes hundreds of inhibitors—antibodies that slow or stop something from working. Infusing with clotting factor may lead to the development of an inhibitor, making the treatment less effective or ineffective. This course explores what inhibitors are, how they work, and what happens when you develop an inhibitor.

What You'll Learn

    • Learn what inhibitors are and how inhibitors might occur.
    • Discover risk factors and how to speak to your provider about the risks.
    • Understand ways to maintain a quality of life while managing an inhibitor.
