Black Voices Summit

The Black Voices Summit, hosted by the Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA), is a unique and intimate gathering for members of the Black and African-American patient community affected by bleeding disorders.

This three-day in-person weekend in Greenville, SC is designed to open up honest dialogue around healthcare access barriers, share lived experiences and guide HFA’s efforts to develop practical and policy-driven solutions for the community.

This is not a typical conference. It’s a space for you to be heard—and for change to begin. However, space is limited, and all attendees must complete an application.

This small, intimate summit is intended to bring Black and African-American patient community representatives with bleeding disorders together. You will share their lived experiences as an often underdiagnosed, undertreated and underrepresented population and help HFA develop the framework to address these issues as a voice of the community. Applications will be reviewed and accepted applicants will be contacted the week of May 18.

Expenses not covered:

  • Ground transportation to/from your home airport
  • Meals during travel days (meals at the summit will be provided)
  • Checked baggage
  • Airport parking
  • Extra hotel nights
  • Hotel incidentals
  • Non-approved guests or travelers
  • Vehicle fuel/gasoline
  • Any other unapproved expenses

We encourage you to apply today. Your voice matters, and your experience can help shape how we fight for equity in healthcare.

If you have questions or need help with the application, feel free to reach out.
