About the Speaker

Kate Reinhalter Bazinsky, MPH
Kate is the Chair of the Bleeding Disorder Substance Use and Mental Health Advocacy Coalition (BD SUMHAC). She began her career in federal health policy and politics working for then Congressman and now, Senator Ed Markey. After leaving the political world, she became a Senior Consultant at Bailit Health, a boutique healthcare consulting firm focused on improving quality and equity while reducing cost in the healthcare system. When her son, Colin, was diagnosed with severe hemophilia A, she became a passionate advocate for the bleeding disorders community. Kate lives in Newton, Mass.,with her husband, Jordan, and her two children, Nora and Colin.
