Kicking off Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month (March), the conversation continues with Robert C. Cooper; Blood Brother, Creator, Writer, Director, and Executive Producer of the TV series, “Unspeakable.” Based on first-person experience and accounts, “Unspeakable” is a mini-series that chronicles the emergence of HIV and Hepatitis throughout Canada during the early 1980-90s and the tragedy that resulted after thousands with bleeding disorders were infected by tainted blood.

Join Rob and special guest panelists, including cast members from the show, for this Q & A session as we dive deeper into the individual Episodes (5-7) of “Unspeakable.”

    Aaron portrayed Jim Krepke in the TV Miniseries ‘Unspeakable’ which chronicled the emergence of HIV and Hepatitis C in Canada in the early ’80s and the tragedy that followed when thousands were unnecessarily infected by tainted blood. This series meant a great deal to Aaron, and he is tremendously proud to have been a part of the show.

    Andy Mikita

    Andy is a freelance Canadian television director/producer living in Victoria BC. He has directed over 140 hours of TV over his 30+ year career in the tv/film industry. Andy is currently serving as Executive Producer/Director on the Global/CW drama series ‘Family Law.’ He is also a recurring director on the popular Netflix series ‘Virgin River.’ He directed two episodes of ‘Unspeakable.’

  • Brian Markinson
    Brian Markinson

    Brian Markinson portrayed the role of Roger Perrault in ‘Unspeakable.’ Brian started his career in the New York theatre scene, performing on Broadway in Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony award-winning ‘Lost in Yonkers’ and off-Broadway in ‘Jules Feiffer’s Elliot Loves,’ directed by Mike Nichols. Filmwork includes; ‘Wolf,’ ‘Primary Colors,’ the Emmy award winning mini-series ‘Angels in America’ and ‘Charlie Wilson’s War,’ all directed by Mike Nichols. He has also worked with Woody Allen extensively, appearing in ‘Sweet and Lowdown,’ ‘Small Time Crooks’ and ‘The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.’ Other film credits include ‘Godzilla,’ ‘Shooter’ and ‘Enemy of the State.’

    Brian has over 150 television credits, including the critically acclaimed AMC series ‘Mad Men,’ the award winning series ‘Fargo,’ as well as series regular and recurring roles in ‘The Mayor of Kingstown,’ ‘Away,’ ‘Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce,’ ‘Continuum’ and the miniseries ‘Klondike.’ Brian won a Leo award this year for his performance in the APTN series, ‘Tribal.’ He was nominated for a Gemini award for his role as James Roszko in the film ‘Mayerthorpe’ and a Canadian Screen Award for the series, ‘The Romeo Section.’ Brian can be seen in the upcoming Netflix series, ‘Painkiller.’

    Camille Sullivan

    Coming out this year, Camille stars in the horror/thriller, ‘Shelby Oaks,’ written and directed by Chris Stuckmann in his directorial debut. She stars opposite Adam Beach in, ‘Exile,’ a tense thriller directed by Jason James. Camille also plays a leading role in the supernatural thriller, ‘The Island Between Tides,’ directed by Andrew Holmes and Austin Andrews.

    Most recently, Camille played a recurring role on the hit comedy ‘Shoresy.’ She starred in the critically acclaimed horror, ‘Hunter Hunter,’ opposite Devon Sawa and Nick Stahl. She played a leading role in the limited series, ‘Unspeakable,’ for CBC. She starred in the black comedy, ‘Kingsway,’ directed by Bruce Sweeney, and she was nominated for A Canadian Screen Award for Leading Actress for her role in the CTV limited series, ‘The Disappearance,’ opposite Peter Coyote.

    David Lewis

    Born and raised in Vancouver BC, David James Lewis knew from an early age that he wanted to be an actor. At the beginning of his career, David cut his teeth on commercials, independents, and numerous short films. One of them being 1999’s “Shoes Off” which won the Best Short Film International Critics Week at the Cannes Film Festival. David continues to enjoy and contribute to the independent film scene and, in fact, finds it some of his most rewarding work to date.

    Over the years David has worked opposite Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly on “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, William H. Macy in the award winning film “Door to Door,” and most recently with Aubrey Plaza on the reboot of “Childs Play”. Previous television work includes “Dead Like Me”, “The L Word” “X-Files,” “Supernatural,” “Fringe,” and every third Movie of the Week over the past 10 years. David has had recurring roles on “Girlfriends Guide to Divorce,” “Rogue,” “Motive,” “Intruders,” and “Dirk Gently Holistic Detective”.

    Also a writer David, worked on writing and helping with the creation of the web series “Parked” as well as writing a variety of short films. One of them being “Stalled” which went on to play in 23 film festivals worldwide. He has a Leo award which he keeps next to his bed.

    Robert C. Cooper

    Multi-award winning writer, director and executive producer Robert Cooper has been involved in the creation of over 400 episodes of television. His latest series “Unspeakable”, for CBC and Sundance TV, chronicled the Canadian tainted blood tragedy and was produced through his production company Mezo Entertainment. Prior to that, he served as showrunner on Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency for BBCAmerica, Netflix and AMC Studios. He is also known for showrunning the record-breaking 17 season Stargate television franchise for MGM. He co-created “Stargate Atlantis” and “Stargate Universe” and served as executive producer, writer, and director of multiple episodes of all three series and two DTV movies.
