Bonnie J. Brehm, PhD, RD, LD is a Licensed, Registered Dietitian and Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati.聽 She also serves as the Nutrition Coordinator in UC鈥檚 College of Medicine.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Brehm worked as a clinical dietitian in hospital and outpatient settings.聽 Over the past 20 years, Dr. Brehm has taught numerous graduate and undergraduate nutrition courses for health professions students, including dietetics, nursing, and medical students.

Dr. Brehm鈥檚 research focuses on the effects of diets with varying levels of macronutrients (i.e., carbohydrate, protein, and fat) on body weight, body composition, and cardiovascular risk factors in overweight and obese persons.聽 She has conducted several research studies, including those that have examined the effectiveness of low carbohydrate diets and Mediterranean-type diets for weight loss.聽 Her research projects have been funded by the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and others.聽 Dr. Brehm has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at professional meetings throughout the United States and beyond.聽 Due to her nutrition expertise, she is often interviewed by local and national media about a variety of nutrition topics.


Janet Chupka, R.N., BSN, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.聽 Upon completion of her nursing degree, she worked for University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in community health and as a mentor for undergraduate nursing students.聽 She has worked in a variety of health care fields including: geriatrics, administration, management, urgent care and most recently as a Wellness Nurse, providing education, training and support to clients as it relates to their overall health and wellness.

Janet joined the Hemophilia Federation of America as a consultant in October of 2011, focusing her time and expertise to help build and promote the FitFactor program.聽 She shares her passion for wellness along with her expertise as a R.N. to develop educational articles and posts found within the FitFactor Site.

She resides in Wisconsin, with her husband and their three children.


Faith Hunter, MBA, ERYT, has a BS degree in Marketing/Communications from Grambling State University and a MBA from Loyola University-New Orleans. Over the past 14 years, she has worked as a private business consultant and trainer/facilitator for numerous nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Some of her places of employment and contracts have included the following: Program Coordinator for the Louisiana Department of Health HIV/AIDS Division, Communications Coordinator for Business/Labor Responds to AIDS (CDC contractor), Director of Technical Assistance for the National Minority AIDS Council, Deputy Director for the Harlem Directors Group, and is currently a consultant for the Hemophilia Federation of America where she works in fund development and Coordinates the online fitness and nutrition project called FitFactor.

Faith is also an experienced-registered yoga instructor (E-RYT 500), and is registered with the international Yoga Alliance. She has studied with numerous instructors over the past 18 years, and received her formal 200-hour certification from Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City and has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher certification at Charm City Yoga. In addition, Faith is a writer, yoga podcaster (in iTunes), ayurvedic practitioner, owner of Embrace Your Flow鈩⒙ (yoga and wellness lifestyle company operated by Faith Hunter Yoga, Inc.), and the Director of the聽 Embrace Your Flow鈩 Yoga Teacher Training Program. Faith is also the May 2010 Cover Model for Yoga Journal (international yoga magazine), the November 2010 Cover Model of聽Om Yoga聽& Lifestyle Magazine (based in the UK), and has appeared in many other international publications. Based in Washington, DC, Faith leads yoga immersions, teacher training, retreats, and numerous workshops throughout the year.


Jeffrey Kallberg, P.T. specializes in physical therapy and physical fitness for people who have hemophilia and bleeding disorders and has severe hemophilia himself.聽 He received his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 1994 and has worked in many settings and with patients of all ages and diagnosis before settling in to his own private practice in Savage, MN.聽 Jeff speaks on the topic of physical fitness and managing the problems associated with hemophilia across the country and has been featured in NHF鈥檚 HemAware magazine.聽 He is also a black belt in tae kwon do, trains in various martial arts and uses exercise to manage his own joint problems.聽 He has developed a program at Accua in Savage MN to provide specialized PT and fitness services to our population using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.



Donna Oldfield, P.T., has been the physical therapist at the Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas for over 25 years. She is a member of the comprehensive team providing physical therapy services and education to pediatric and adult patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. In the past Donna has served as Chair of the Physical Therapy Working Group of the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and as the NHF Region VI Physical Therapy Representative. She helped establish Camp Ailihpomeh, the Texas Hemophilia Camp and went on to serve as a member and as Chair of the Texas Camp Board. She also provides training to medical professionals for the International Hemophilia Training Center of WFH, and participates in outreach clinics and education in El Paso, TX.聽 As an active professional in the bleeding disorders community, Donna is involved in many GSHTC center programs, Lone Star Chapter of NHF events and participates in the Hemophilia Federation of America鈥檚 Blood Brotherhood Program in Houston, TX.
