Black Voices is Hemophilia Federation of America’s national health equity initiative created for Black and African American people affected by bleeding disorders.
Through education, community conversations and national events, Black Voices creates opportunities to connect with peers, increase health knowledge, advocate for better care and ensure that Black voices help shape the future of bleeding disorders care.

Meet and connect community members from across the country every quarter for conversations about living with a bleeding disorder, navigating healthcare, advocacy, wellness and current issues affecting Black and African American patients.
Learn
Living with a bleeding disorder is a unique experience for every person. For many Black and African American individuals and families, that journey may also include challenges related to diagnosis, access to specialized care, representation in research, and feeling heard within the healthcare system.
Black Voices creates a space where community members can understand their experiences, learn from trusted experts and build confidence to advocate for the care they deserve.

Connect
HFA has hosted the Black Voices Summit to provide a safe space for Black and African American people affected by bleeding disorders to share their experiences. It brings together individuals for a weekend of learning, connection and empowerment.
Participants have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with others who understand their experiences, share personal stories, and learn from experts on topics that matter most to the community. Educational sessions focus on improving health knowledge, navigating the healthcare system, advocating for timely diagnosis and equitable care, understanding treatment options, and building confidence to speak up for yourself and your family.
