BioRx Is Fast 55 Award Finalist

News Release
(Cincinnati, Ohio)  April 25, 2011   The Cincinnati Business Courier announces that BioRx is again a finalist, for the third consecutive year, in its Fast 55 Award Program.  Currently listed in the $50.1 to $199 million category, BioRx also won a Fast 55 Award in 2008 and 2009.  The Business Courier moved the 2010 awards program to 2011 in order to include actual vs. projected 2010 revenue numbers.  The annual Fast 55 Award, one of Greater Cincinnati’s premier award programs, recognizes the region’s fastest-growing private companies.
BioRx is a national specialty pharmacy serving individuals with bleeding disorders, immune deficiencies, nutritional disorders, hereditary angioedema, and Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
Co-founded by Philip Rielly and Eric Hill, the privately-owned company is located in Blue Ash, Ohio.  BioRx began operations in 2004 with only three employees, specializing in the treatment of hemophilia.  Offering in-home nursing care with infusion suite nurses on staff and a unique consumer advocacy program, the company quickly grew and expanded to offer treatment for primary immune deficiencies, nutritional deficiencies, and other chronic disorders.  The quick growth required relocation and expansion of the office, pharmacy, and distribution facility in 2007 and again in 2011 to accommodate the increase in business.

BioRx is the only local company specializing in the treatment of hemophilia and immune deficiency disorders.  Servicing all fifty states, the company expanded to 140 employees in 2010.
The Fast 55 program compares companies’ growth over a three-year period.  Companies must have at least $1 million in average annual revenue to qualify, and have headquarters in the Greater Cincinnati region.  The 55 are determined through Courier research and nominations.  Revenue categories are used so small companies don’t dominate the top rankings.
Finalists will be honored and category winners will be named at a luncheon June 9 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati.
