Nia Dance Gets Us Moving at Symposium 2013

Nia dance group Symposium 2013The FitFactor program encourages physical activity for individuals with bleeding disorders to strengthen muscles and joints and help reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.  We understand that choosing an exercise routine is very personal and that a “one size fits all” philosophy just doesn’t apply when choosing a physical activity program that is right for you.  That is why we continually explore a variety of exercise options that may work for you.  At Symposium 2013, the FitFactor team brought in Nia Dance facilitator, Jule Aguirre to teach and demonstrate the art of Nia dance.
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities.  Nia’s purpose is to grow a worldwide community of healthy people who are empowered to do great things.
If you were able to join us and experience the beautiful and fluid, yet excitingly fun and motivational movement of Nia and would like to find a teacher and class near you or if you are interested in learning more about Nia and try it for yourself please visit: http://www.nianow.com/find/classes
