All in for Gears for Good

Diane Oh yes I didThe purpose of HFA’s FitFactor program is to provide the bleeding disorders community with services that are designed to improve health, fitness, and quality of life through regular physical activity and proper nutrition.
Each year, in an effort to promote physical activity in the community and raise money for individuals and families in the bleeding disorders community who have experienced a financial crisis, HFA offers a charity bike ride event-Gears for Good.
Last year, 22 riders raised over $43,000 to help those in need through HFA’s Helping Hands program.
This year, in an effort to encourage more ridership, we have added an additional and shorter ride through the beautiful landscape of New Hampshire.  Riders can choose to pedal either 30 or 100 miles through NH along the Northern Bike Trail.
Those who want more of a challenge can choose the 156 mile ride from West Virginia to DC or join in on the Sunday only ride for a 30 mile trip into the celebration barbecue.
As a FitFactor participant, we encourage you to consider: riding in one of these events, attend one of the celebratory barbeques, become a virtual rider, or sponsor one of the riders or teams of riders that will be participating.  There are many options to appeal to all levels of riders and supporters.
Let’s join together to stay active and well while helping to support those in our community during a time of need.
Let your gears do good!
