It’s not too late to make a difference! The Gears for Good bike ride is this Saturday, September 26th, 2015.

FitFactor encourages physical activity in individuals with bleeding disorders.  HFA provides an opportunity for those who are physically active to benefit the bleeding disorders community in our annual charity bike ride-Gears for Good.  You don’t have to travel to DC to make a difference.  Here are a few ways you can make a difference right in your own hometown:
Register as a Virtual Rider – If you are unable to join us on a ride, join us as a virtual rider! Participate in the Gears for Good bike ride as a virtual rider and pedal as many miles as you can in your local area. Register online, send us photos and let us share your ride with others on social media so our entire community can cheer you on every step of the way!
Organize a Local Bike Ride in your Area – Want to promote health and wellness in your community while helping HFA? Check out our guide to organizing a local bike ride in your area. Ride as many miles as you can with your friends and family, send photos and comments from the ride to: hfaprograms@hemophilifed.org and be part of this charity event.
Donate – We need your help to continue to offer this critical assistance to people living with a bleeding disorder.  Please donate today!
100% of the funds raised from the Gears for Good ride go to HFA’s Helping Hands program, so they stay in the bleeding disorders community! HFA’s Helping Hands Program is a critical, one-of-a-kind program available to individuals and families in the bleeding disorders community. The program assists people who are going through temporary financial crisis for reasons related to their bleeding disorder.
Here is what one rider had to say after the 2014 bike ride:
“After participating in all three “Gears for Good” bike ride fundraisers, I can honestly say they are among my favorite rides. For many years, I’ve pedaled thousands of miles and ridden in many fundraising events, but HFA has afforded the opportunity to ride for and with “my own”- people with bleeding disorders, which I’d never had the opportunity to do before. I’m looking forward to completing many more treks down the C & O!”  Barry, Texas
