Two of America’s top leaders and advocates for the bleeding disorders community will keynote Central California Hemophilia Foundation’s annual Industry Symposium and World Hemophilia Day celebration on Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dr. Meyers, who has an extensive background in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, has been in her CEO position with HFA since January of 2020. She will talk about HFA’s mission and future direction and will be joined by Sonji Wilkes, HFA’s Vice President for Policy & Advocacy, for a discussion of the rapidly changing federal legislative and regulatory landscape.

Dr. Leonard Valentino, president of National Hemophilia Foundation, and Dr. Sharon Meyers, CEO of Hemophilia Federationof America will present plenary sessions during the virtual symposium.

Dr. Valentino, who has just completed his first year as CEO of NHF, will speak about World Hemophilia Day and the role of the World Federation of Hemophilia. He will also discuss NHF’s mission and vision. Valentino, who has 35 years of clinical and research experience, will also talk about how COVID has impacted the community and about COVID vaccines. Additionally, he will address von Willebrand guidelines and discuss NHF’s National Research Blueprint.
