We are happy to introduce a new Adult Education Scholarship in memory of John W. Cavanaugh. John worked full time while raising a family and attending Northeastern University to earn a college degree. He never let his hemophilia stop him from striving to provide a better life for himself and his family. Read聽John’s full story here.

This new scholarship is brought to the NEHA community by John’s daughter, Jane Cavanaugh Smith, to help honor her father’s legacy, and to offer assistance to adults who wish to further their education. Two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,500 each.聽The deadline to apply is June 1.聽

Criteria of the Scholarship:
This scholarship is for adults looking to continue to their education via college, trade school, or continuing education classes. The applicant must be a member of the New England Hemophilia Association, and must be an adult diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, a parent/caregiver of someone with a bleeding disorder, or the spouse of someone with a bleeding disorder.
