Brent has spent over 20 years in the Information Technology field, primarily working with mission-based, nonprofit organizations. Over the course of his career, he has focused on service and reliability, grounded by a core belief that technology should help us to not only solve problems but to advance our purpose, equity, and access. A natural leader in the field of IT strategy and the nitty gritty of system troubleshooting, Brent’s approach is one that is both steady and solutions-focused, with a people and mission-driven mindset always at the forefront.
Brent is a Pittsburgh, PA area native, where in his free time he continues to live a life of service. Brent is a volunteer firefighter, having spent over 24 years in the role. His service as a firefighter has led him to meet people during their most vulnerable moments and demands qualities that also describe his natural leadership style, including courage, fearlessness, and a true desire to help people, even in the face of stress or pressure. As a leader, Brent is a calm and steady force and is both ethically grounded and focused on the greater good of others.
Brent and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors with their three children on camping trips. Brent feels a sense of joy and restoration in these moments, and at the heart of it all, Brent believes in showing up for others every day, in all ways. Brent’s goal is to leave every person, place, and system better than he found it.
