Brian is a member of the Operations team at HFA, but his work spans across a variety of teams, including Public Affairs, and Advancement. His responsibilities include developing resources for the HFA website, supporting the Public Affairs team with their advocacy efforts and policy priorities, being the main facilitator of Blood Brotherhood programming, acting as a liaison between Public Affairs and Communications to help shape content aimed at informing stakeholders, and assisting the organization with various tasks.

Brian plays a large role in representing the perspective of young adult members of the community and sees himself influencing the future of the organization. A recent graduate from the University of Nebraska and a 2022 Policy and Government Affairs Intern at HFA, Brian was excited to return to HFA in January of 2023.

While this is Brian’s first postgraduate job, he has over 4 years of experience working and volunteering in the bleeding disorders community. He first got involved with advocacy in 2019 and now serves on the Hemophilia Foundation of Minnesota/Dakotas Board of Directors in addition to his role at HFA. Brian is based out of Lincoln, Nebraska, but is seeking to grow within the organization and move to Washington, D.C. in the near future. Brian holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Political Science from University of Nebraska, where he graduated with honors and high distinction.
