About Maria
I am very blessed to be a part of the bleeding disorder community. I have two boys one with hemophilia. As for my family we had many scary issues with my son’s bleeding. I have many family members including myself with hemophilia. I understand what families are going through I really find myself as an asset to the community.
I have been involved in New Mexico’s board for eight years. I served on the advisory, walk advocacy, fundraising, board member, golf, camp, women’s programming. teen events and event planning. I was vice president for one year. I am also in charge of our women’s programming.
What drives you to serve on the HFA Board?
I served on the HFA Board for about one year. I learned so much from other member organizations. I love what HFA stands for, I really want to learn a lot more.
What do you do to truly relax?
I listen to music, I love the outdoors so camping, dancing, or just family time.
